Eliteweb.cc, a new Internet portal and online community launched in June 2005, is the brainchild of Robert Burko, a 23-year-old native of Toronto, Ontario.

After years of frustrations with web portals that provided unlimited content at the expense of quality, Burko decided to take matters into his own hands. In 1999, while still in high-school, he began to develop a hand-picked, best-of-the-web search engine. Burko's energy, passion and enthusiasm soon captivated the minds of many others who saw the future of a first-class Internet experience.
